We want to express our sincere gratitude to Compassion Ministries for providing for my family during our time of need. Due to the rising costs of food, we were experiencing a scary situation where we needed food. My family reached out to the non-profit, and they were able to supply us with food to help us get by for the next month. I appreciate the food I get from the food bank. It has helped my family when we were in need the most. My fridge went out, and thanks to the food bank, I was able to restock some of the items I needed, such as meat, eggs, fruit, and veggies. Compassion Ministries helped my family through some difficult times. I am a single father of two children, and I needed some help with extra food. The food bank helped me a lot when I came to Recover Colorado. I did not have anything when I first came and didn't have my EBT set up yet. Alot of the guy's that come to this program do not have EBT when they come so it really does help out for a lot of people. Hopefully, the food bank can continue to prvide for people in need.

As a Housing Manager within a substance abuse recovery program, I have observed the significant and positive impact of the food boxes provided by Compassion Ministries to our members. These resources play a vital role in supporting individuals who are working diligently toward stability and long-term recovery. By alleviating the burden of food insecurity, the food boxes allow our residents to focus more fully on their treatment, personal growth, and future goals.

Beyond meeting a practical need, this ongoing support affirms to our members that they are valued and not alone in their journey. The partnership with Compassion Ministries has strengthened our program’s ability to foster stability, dignity, and hope, which are essential components of successful recovery. We are deeply appreciative of their commitment and generosity in serving those most in need.

When I arrived at Recover Colorado, I was unable to obtain food. I received a nutritious food box to get me through. That week, I was very grateful. The non-profit that provides it provides a great service, and I was grateful.

The first three days are so much easier with your help and kindness. When you show up to somewhere new you never know what your going to get but your food box makes things easier. Thank you.

One of the things that has helped me the most is the food box I was given. I appreciate it so much because the other treatment facilities I've been usually have me ready to box for food! I have received three food boxes from the food bank. Not only have my boxes had a great variety, but they have been nutritious as well. Funding for this program has helped me stay healthy, happy and calm. This has directly helped my sobriety. (I am at a rehab). This program is enabling me to return as a functioning tax paying member. Funding this program is an investment that will increase the social and financial value of Colorado as a whole.

I have been to quite a few rehabs and Recover Colorado is definitely the best I've been. Frm the day I got here I was taken care by the food boes, it has helped me and I have not gone hungry and since I'be been here. Recover Colorado definitely care about us clients. Thank you for the food boxes.
